Have you ever had a check returned for insufficient funds? If you have, you know what a hassle and an embarrassment that can be. Our overdraft transfer or overdraft privilege features can help you avoid having a check returned and can even save you time and money!
OVERDRAFT TRANSFER
(Not available for Free Checking or Student Checking accounts.)
This feature is offered on many of our personal checking accounts. When a check is presented for payment on your checking account, and the balance of your account is not enough to cover that check, funds will be automatically transferred from the other account you designate. Transfers are made in $100 increments and there is a fee of only $5 for each transfer.
OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE
(Not available for Student Checking accounts.)
This feature is
automatically available on our personal checking accounts after
the account has been open for 30 days and has not had any
insufficient items during that 30- day period.
There is no monthly fee for this service. There is a
fee of $29.00 (subject to change) for each overdraft created by
check, in-person withdrawals, ATM withdrawals, auto transfer
withdrawals or other electronic means.
Whether your overdrafts will be paid is discretionary and we
reserve the right not to pay. For example, we typically do not
pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing or if you
have too many overdrafts.
In order to keep your overdraft privilege, your account must
have a positive balance at least once every 30 days.
